White moas in GW:EN
I was farming imps and the boss in varajar fells when i came across these bad boys.
I never knew they spawned in eotn and is it true that they are a rare pet?
Also this is wat wiki says: Unlike most other tamable animals, they do not appear as "friendly" creatures (green triangle in compass map) but instead are "neutral" creatures (yellow triangle). Because of this, they will not turn hostile when you start charming them, meaning that you cannot death-level them. Look friendly green triangle to me.

i dont think they are rare but can be a headache to get. They wont attack when you try to charm they just run away.

Because he saw them on a farm run, and thus assumed it was triggered by that?

Funny I just got done dire leveling my ranger a white moa yesterday. They are a rare spawn but show up in herds outside of Sifhala and Olafstead if you zone a bunch of times. Recommend bringing a running skill as you might need it to start charming them.
Black Moas are considered a 'legendary' pet, however they are elder status so I like White Moas better. Dire level them up on the Snow Wurm farm.
